But for me, it feels like a tear in the fabric of every day life. I too have been feeling like I am trying to find my footing in the surf. All this and the weight of sadness for our planet, our lost humanity, the weight of a war. It's a lot to pack into my soul without wanting to scream. I need to find the ability to drift a bit. I will try. Thank you, Inder. Much love to you and the family. Stuck, stumped, stymied, stupified, stale, stagnant, stunted! How can anything grow when the soil is tired from not wanting to do what one wants? Finally, the inspiration came from a video a friend sent that inspired her to change her life by reminding her what sparks joy! Oh Boy! How can a seed expect to thrive if the soil has not been properly prepared? Toss the old debris from last years' harvest into a pile, sort, chop and compost! Make way for the new by clearing out the old! Seeds will clammer for a chance to sprout new life in a bed of fertile fecundity! I know women's bodies, including my own, have as you say internalized these things for generations as well, as continue to. I know that is also ESPECIALLY true for women of color. For me it feels really important to stay focused on systemic racism right now and also addressing the racism that I personally contain. For me this is part of healing my woman's body, and the body of the earth.<br />I came across this Resmaa Menakam's work the day after I posted this which speaks to trauma we all contain in our bodies as it pertains to race. It is a very important perspective. Here is a great interview with him from On Being: https://onbeing.org/programs/resmaa-menakem-notice-the-rage-notice-the-silence/Inderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12329119965088574368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6588053683579106839.post-20162618625743677842020-06-05T18:51:04.969-07:002020-06-05T18:51:04.969-07:00Thank you thank you for writing what my heart hold...Thank you thank you for writing what my heart holds.
